Privacy Policy

Your project details deserve care. This policy explains what information we receive, why we use it and the choices available to you.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Arooj Khan, trading as AK Design Zone, based in Lahore, Pakistan, is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email studio@akdesignzone.com.
This policy covers akdesignzone.com and inquiries and projects handled through this design business. Separate products or services may have their own privacy notices.
2. Information you provide
When you inquire, we receive your name, email address, selected service and project brief, plus any optional channel link, budget and timeline you provide. We also receive a record of your inquiry checkbox agreement and the submission time. During a project, we may receive correspondence, supplied assets, feedback, delivery information and payment confirmations.
Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, PINs, one-time codes or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
3. Why we use information
We use information to respond to your inquiry, discuss and quote for work, agree and deliver projects, handle revisions and payments, keep necessary business records, protect the website and deal with legal obligations or disputes. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or give permission for analytics.
Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, we rely on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, applicable legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and business administration, and consent for optional analytics.
4. Your inquiry and email
The website is hosted by Hostinger. The inquiry form sends your message through our configured email delivery service to our Gmail inbox. Our public studio email address uses Hostinger email. The form checkbox authorizes AK Design Zone to use your details to respond to your inquiry.
The form handler does not create a separate archive of inquiry messages on the website. Hosting and email providers may maintain operational logs and backup copies. You can ask us to stop corresponding with you; this does not necessarily require deletion of records that we have another lawful reason to retain.
5. Website security information
Hosting services may record IP addresses, browser and request information and timestamps to operate and protect the website. Our form uses a hashed IP address and submission timestamps in a private server file to limit spam. A hash is not necessarily anonymous. This file does not contain your project brief.
The rate limit uses a one-hour checking window. Old entries are removed when the file is next processed, rather than automatically at exactly one hour; they can remain longer if no further submission occurs.
6. Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept Analytics. Choosing Reject Analytics leaves it off and does not prevent browsing or sending an inquiry. Analytics may collect page visits and interactions, referral information, device and browser information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or inquiry contents to analytics.
Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage for 180 days (approximately six months). We ask again after it expires. Clearing browser storage may remove your preference. If your browser blocks local storage, your choice may only last for the current page. Open here or in the footer to change your choice.
When accepted, analytics may use cookies named _ga and _ga_*. Our tag is configured for a 180-day cookie lifetime without extending it on each visit. Browser settings may remove them sooner. If you withdraw permission, we stop future analytics collection and attempt to remove these cookies; the page reloads to stop the loaded analytics code. Withdrawal does not automatically erase information already collected.
The selected Google Analytics retention settings are two months for event data and 14 months for user data, with the user retention period reset on new activity. These settings do not affect most aggregated reports in the same way.

7. Service providers and international processing
We use Hostinger for hosting and email services, Google’s Gmail for inquiry correspondence, and Google Analytics when you accept it. Providers may process information outside Pakistan or your country. Their privacy notices describe their handling of information and relevant transfer safeguards: Hostinger’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address legal claims or protect rights and security.
8. Payments
Depending on your location and the agreed project arrangements, payments may be handled through JazzCash, Easypaisa, Upwork or Payoneer. The payment method is agreed with you before payment. Payments are handled outside this website by the relevant provider, under its own privacy policy and terms.
We may receive payment-related information needed to confirm and record payment, such as your name, the amount, payment date, transaction reference or payment confirmation. This website does not collect payment-card details.
9. Portfolio work and external links
We seek the relevant permission before publishing client work, client names, testimonials or project results in our portfolio. If published content raises a privacy concern, contact us so we can review it.
Links to WhatsApp, Upwork and other external services take you to services with their own privacy practices. Contacting us there may share information with that service.
10. How long we keep information
Unsuccessful project inquiries are deleted from our active inquiry mailbox 12 months after the last conversation, unless needed longer for a legal obligation or unresolved issue. This is a manual housekeeping practice, not an automatic website deletion function. Deleted messages and backups may remain temporarily under the email provider’s retention practices.
For client projects, we retain correspondence, deliverables and business or payment records for as long as needed for the project, ongoing support, applicable recordkeeping obligations and unresolved claims. We review information and remove it when it is no longer needed.
11. Younger visitors
Our services are intended for adult clients, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18 and want to arrange a project, ask a parent or guardian to contact us and make the arrangements. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information that should be removed.
12. Your privacy choices and rights
You can contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information. Depending on the law applicable to you, you may also have rights to restrict processing, receive portable information, withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.
Your right to object: where applicable, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including by explaining your particular circumstances.
You can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie Settings. For other consent-based processing, contact us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We respond within applicable legal deadlines, may need to verify your identity and will explain if a request cannot be fully met because information must be retained.
13. Security
We use measures such as HTTPS, form validation and keeping mail credentials outside the public website folder to help protect information. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
14. Policy updates
We may update this policy when the website, services or data practices change. The dates at the top identify this version. We will provide additional notice or request fresh consent where required.
